Sitting here
The widest part of the garden, and the part that changes most between four in the afternoon and eight at night. By day it is grass, a brick path and a low bamboo rail. Once the bulbs come on it turns into the reason most people stay for a second cup — the light drops to about the level of a candle, the hills go dark behind the pavilion, and nobody is in a hurry to settle up.
